Life is a gift. The joy and pain, love and hate, triumph and struggle all makes up the essence of what life really is.

KOREAN BBQ for dinner with the sister and cousin!
Overall, this place was pretty good compared to other places I have been to. Will I return? That’s a definite yes!
Restaurant: Song DO BBQ

So I saw this Taco Bell commercial and thought it was a pretty cool concept, but I was disappointed. Perhaps I will just make HOME-MADE tacos that are more legit and grab a bag of Doritos to go with it.
Me: Hey, can I get a small mango smoothie.
Cashier: Sure, did you want whip cream?
Me: No thanks (I’m confused at this point…do people add whip to smoothies? I don’t.)
Cashier: Your total is $7.38
Me: Wow, for a SMALL mango smoothie?! I chuckled and nicely corrected her by saying “did you mean $3.78?”
Point is, I ordered a mango smoothie today… I received a mocha frappe instead. Haha

This was today’s lab in my respiratory care procedures II class. Securing an airway in preventing endotracheal tube (ETT) dislodgment in the prehospital setting. We used tape and tongue depressors. Each hospital is different when it comes to equipment with cost being the main factor.
I thought it was easy, but the first time doing it— lets just say my fingers got a little confused. It’s one of those practice makes perfect kinda thing!

Dinner: Com Tay Dac Biet (Rice in a clay pot with assorted veggies, beef, chicken, shrimp, and calamari). It was a special item at the restaurant so I decided to try it.

My pocket book came in. If you’re in the respiratory therapy field or a current student — I strongly recommend it. It’s a great help as a reference. Oh! Yes, that’s me in the picture overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s the background on my laptop. I love and miss the Bay!

We played with the dummies again in lab. This time with endotracheal suctioning tubes. The main purpose of the tube is to suction secretions from the airways to clear it out so that the patient can ventilate better.

So I was at an Irish restaurant/bar called Pub 71. It was my first time ever at an Irish cuisine. Anyways, I was “chilling” with a cute friend. Haha, that’s pretty much. Oh and I can’t forget the best part— beer, pinot grigio, pita, and hummus!

I am waiting for that day when I could let this encumbrance be lifted. It’s not bothering me so much, but it’s definitely holding me back as an individual. Sometimes, it’s tough, but that’s why I have friends and some family there for me. I don’t really think of it much, but when I do (usually when I’m in my room) it makes me think deeply. I lie down sometimes at night in my pitch, dark room and pretend there’s no roof over me so that I could see the beautiful night sky. I would look up and count the glowing stars above my head. Why you may ask? Well it’s relaxing and helps me fall asleep quicker, but I think of myself as being one of the stars shining brightly one day. The day when I can succumb this obstacle and just set the burden that I carry free. Like a saying I once read, “I’d rather be accepted for who I am than for who I am not.” For now, I just have to enjoy life the best way I know how and stay focus in school. Just a little thought and rant. I know I was very broad, but if you read this and know what I was talking about then you kinda know what I feel or where I’m coming from. For those that don’t know, I really thank you for taking the time to read.

So I’m at work bored— waiter on the side by the way (apart from being a full-time student). Anyways, got a copy of March 2012 GQ Magazine. Fun cover page! Definitely check out Jennifer’s and Paul’s spread. Also, Trey Songz is in this one modeling for Eye Candy. Okay….!
